GHS Class of 2025 - May 22, 2025
Cedar Crest Families- Our school wide picnic is next Wednesday, May 28th. We are hoping you are able to join us for lunch this day to celebrate the close of the school year. The picnic will be on our school playground beginning at 11:45. Unfortunately, our projector in our gym just quit working so the movie we had scheduled for after the picnic will be cancelled. Below are the details for our picnic: Families who are attending the picnic should plan to arrive at 11:40. All classrooms will be staged on the sidewalk lining our pick up loop. You can pick up each of your children from your child's teachers so you are able to eat on the playground as a family. After picking up your child(ren) you can enter the playground through the gate and find an area to enjoy lunch as a family. Please be sure you bring a lunch for any family members who do not attend Cedar Crest. You will also want to bring a blanket, towels or something else to sit on as all seating will be on the ground. A couple of safety rules we are asking all families to follow: -Please do not allow your child(ren) to play on the playground. It can become very unsafe, very quickly if hundreds of children were to all play on the playground during this time. -If you are taking your child home with you after the picnic, please do not leave without signing your child out with his/her classroom teacher. It is very important that your child's teacher knows who the child is leaving with and when they leave. We hope you are able to join us!

5th Grade Families- The school year is quickly coming to an end, which means that your child's elementary career is also soon ending. This time of the year bring sadness that our students are moving on, but it also bring happiness as we are sure they are prepared and mostly eager for this next step. To celebrate all of our 5th Grade students, we will be holding a graduation ceremony in our school gymnasium at 10:45 on May 30th. After the ceremony there will be time for pictures. We will then line the school hallways as families and students clap our 5th graders out of our building, wishing them the best of luck as they depart as elementary students. We are hoping that you can join us for this special event.
